Women are known to be expressive of their feelings when there is something wrong. Men in the black community in particular do not show their true emotions enough. Growing up, they hear “Be a man” or “Boys don’t cry” basically insinuating it is not “manly” to show emotion. This sketch is dedicated to the mental health in black men. Everyone goes through their own personal issues and we all have our own coping mechanisms. Saying “I’m okay” does not give room for improvement. #blackmencancry
